So this week I am with @winkler4 at the 10th anniversary edition of the JASIG conference. We are here promoting Kuali OLE but are interested in talking to others in this very unique collaborative software community. So far sessions have been great and run the gamut between OpenCast Matterhorn, Agile Development, and Web Services. Met some really cool people and ran into old friends @declan, @danwho, @pemuls, @bmljenny, and @cab105 as well as new friends Barry and Jennifer, sorry that @iandolphin24 is stuck in New Zealand.
So the digital library team and the iu libraries put in a proposal to host Code4lib in Bloomington next year. I hope we get enough votes from the community – https://wiki.dlib.indiana.edu/confluence/display/EVENTS/Code4Lib+2011+Proposal
Code4Lib 2011:
This week in a lot of VIVO related meetings for planning and growing our network and software tools. Also will be participating in Katy Borner’s cool NSF Sympoisum on Science Mapping.
It has been snowing overnight and while being pretty is a pain to drive through. Working on some presentations for Sun-PASIG Midwest and for some Datanet partner components. Also working on my class for SJSU.
This week I am working on some presentations for ALA (Taiga Forum 5 and LITA Digital Libraries Interest Group) as well as some work on grants (Kuali OLE and Datanet) and trying to stay warm in this crazy cold weather.
